 Jan Marion Graf was born and raised in Santa Clara, Utah. He served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Scotland. He served four years in the United States Air Force. His formal education includes graduation from Dixie College in St. George, Utah; Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah; and Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He practiced chiropractic for two years in Provo, Utah and moved to Santa Clara, Utah and started a chiropractic practice in St. George, Utah in 1976. From 1978 to 1989, he practiced stress management along with his chiropractic practice. In 1989, he discontinued practicing chiropractic and has practiced as a stress management consultant full-time since. He and his wife, Gretchen, have been happily married since 1966 and are the parents of eight children, six of whom are also happily married. They are the grandparents of eighteen grandchildren. His love for his family and their relationship are the true fruits of his labor.
